Welcome to Carroll County Altrusa!

Altrusa International, Inc. is an international non-profit organization, making our local communities better through leadership, partnership and service. We are civic-minded people who strive to create better communities worldwide. 

Altrusa is an organization which partners fellowship with service to others.  We are part of the District One region of Altrusa Clubs which includes New England, Quebec, Canada, and Bermuda Island.

Our Background

Our story begins with Cathy, Peg, Judi and Judy, who were members of the Meredith Altrusa Club. However, they found that it was quite a drive for them to participate.  They then invited four friends to form a core group, and this led to the first official meeting of Carroll County Altrusa on March 13, 2006, with 21 in attendance.  We have helped with many service projects, our membership has grown and we continue to search for meaningful ways to serve our Carroll County Community.
